A career banker of over 40 years’ experience, our CEO, John Batiste  is one of Australia’s foremost thinkers in real estate and development finance. Having worked within the banking industry rising to state manager of one of Australia’s leading real estate financiers; John has served on a variety of Boards including leading developers, financial service enterprises, and short-term mezzanine lenders.

As well as bringing a wealth of experience and industry connections, John has a superb work ethic and a commitment to delivering on his word. John’s hands-on approach gets the job done.

Their practical experience is second to none. Equitifund has access to skilled external advisers led by director and founder, Greg Huxley.

Andrew holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Sydney University as well as a Diploma in Finance and Mortgage broking. Since completing his degree Andrew has worked in the tech start-up industry including helping to develop Australia’s largest online fashion retailer, The Iconic.

He has also worked and advised leading players in the hospitality sector running marketing for 10 of Sydney's top bars and restaurants. He then branched out to establish his own beverage import business. More recently Andrew has worked closely with Equitifund firstly in a consultancy role and now as General Manager where over the past 3 years he has specialised in commercial capital transactions and acquisition. He now heads up an expanding mortgage loan processing and settlements team and looking to expand Equitifund into its own mortgage fund offerings.

Peter White has over 35 years’ experience in the finance industry, including all facets of operational and retail lending management. He has established a number of lending platforms with comprehensive knowledge of processes/procedures formation and review, core operational systems administration and all aspects of retail lending. He was instrumental in setting up the securitisation platform and programs for a non ADI and managing all aspects of the their portfolio, including ultimate responsibility for Credit Risk. Peter heads up Equitifund’s retail team overseeing and signing off on all transactions.

Nick Lukowski is an experienced, well-qualified development and contract manager. He holds post nominal as Bachelor of Applied Science with accreditation in contract administration and adjudication. He is a member of the Australian Building Construction Dispute Resolution Service. He has completed specialised post grad courses in Financial Management and Property Investment and Finance.

As a highly skilled project and construction manager, he brings progressive thinking with a strong problem-solving ability. He has experience in all aspects of the development and construction process demonstrating particular expertise in contractual matters.

As a registered and practicing adjudicator, he is committed to the ongoing professional development in the industry through continuous improvement. He utilises innovative approaches to effectively address construction challenges and deliver successful project outcomes in the construction industry.

He is an experienced and valued member of Equitifund senior executive development team and brings construction management discipline to Equitifund’s decision making.

Greg Huxley is a chartered accountant and holds post nominals in law and commerce. He has over 45 years of diverse commercial experience including disciplines ranging from construction, finance, and stockbroking. He participates actively in the development and management of a small, fast response retail lending platform. He is a venture capitalist in a range of industries ranging from manufacture, building supplies and property development. He is a joint venture participant in a number of property developments throughout regional Australia and has over his career developed in excess of $1 billion of projects ranging from shopping centres, resorts, unit construction, residential development and land subdivisions. As a director and external adviser, Greg’s knowledge, insight and experience is drawn upon by the various opportunities developed by John, Andrew and the team at Equitifund.

Equitifund’s support team include qualified accountants; experienced HR professionals; credit and finance analysts. Under the control of our Professional team, they ensure that all back office systems are robust, providing rigorous research, and data gathering on all transactions.

Marie’s role oversees various roles and serves as a support role for Greg Huxley. Marie is responsible for key consultancy/advisory roles across Australia/overseas. Having been involved in a myriad of industries including NDIS community support work and heading 2 businesses (real estate and coaching/consulting) she understands and empathises deeply with others approaching matters with an “everything is figureoutable” mindset, making it easy to integrate into any task, project or Team.

Lia’s extensive background as an experienced Team Leader, Operations Manager and is also a Bachelor of Science Nursing, is welcomed in our Loans Team. Lia’s knowledge in loans processing, servicing, pricing and valuations is always done with outstanding customer service skills. Lia aspires to be an Accountant/Bookkeeper one day.

Melissa is a very passionate, enthusiastic, and dynamic professional who carries 16+ years of experience in leading Finance Operations. She has been an integral part of Hemas Consumer Brands and Unilever. Melissa holds diversified knowledge in Management Accounting, Finance Business Partnering, Business Controls and Supply Chain Finance. Melissa believes in performing her tasks to the best of her ability by working with dedication and empathy with the teams she works with.

Belle leads the Administration team and is also the document controller go-to person. Belle shares her positivity in everything she touches and is always eager to learn new tasks/meet new and interesting people. Belle is always customer-centric focussed and is backed by her Bachelor of Science Nursing, with 7 years’ experience in virtual assistance support and a sound understanding of the Business Process Outsourcing/Call Centre field.
